This guide is for first-time Shadowrocket buyers and anyone reinstalling on a new device. Check your App Store account and device compatibility first, then verify the app by its developer, official icon, and app ID. Follow the App Store confirmation prompts for your first purchase; if you already own it, check your purchase history first. The app is a one-time purchase and does not include a service subscription. After installation, you’ll still need connection details from your own provider.
Before you buy: where to get the app and what the purchase includes
Shadowrocket is a paid client for Apple platforms, available exclusively from the App Store. This guide focuses on iPhone and iPad. The same App Store listing shows compatibility for Mac, Apple TV, and Apple Vision; check the listing for system requirements and purchase eligibility. Don’t rely on the name in search results alone to determine whether an app is compatible with your device.
Shadowrocket is a one-time purchase. The price is the amount shown in your local currency on the current App Store storefront. Search snippets, old screenshots, and prices someone else paid don’t replace the price shown at checkout. Before you begin, make sure you’re using the right Apple Account for App Store purchases.
Search and buy in the App Store: 5 steps
Open the App Store on your device and search for the full name, Shadowrocket. Search results may include apps with similar names, so open the product page before buying. If you’re coming from this site, start with the official app verification and download guide, then use its App Store link.
-
Start your search
In the App Store, go to Search and enter Shadowrocket. If your system interface is in another language, find the equivalent search option; the app’s name is still Shadowrocket.
-
Open the listing
Tap a result to view the full product page. Verify the developer, Shadow Launch Technology Limited, and check for the white icon with a blue-violet outlined rocket. Don’t rely on the small search-result icon alone.
-
Verify the listing
Make sure the product link has app ID 932747118. The number appears in the link as
id932747118; it is not a version number. Also check compatibility, the current price, and purchase eligibility. -
Confirm your purchase
For your first purchase, tap the price button. Review the app name, amount, and account in the system confirmation prompt, then authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your account password as prompted.
-
Wait for the download
Keep your device connected to the internet and wait for the download to finish. When the button changes to Open, launch the app. If you see a cloud download icon, follow the steps for redownloading a previous purchase instead of starting a new purchase.
If Shadowrocket doesn’t appear in search, that doesn’t mean the app has a different name. Availability may depend on your account’s storefront, device compatibility, or access restrictions. Check your account and the App Store message, then use this site’s download guide to open the product page and follow the options shown there.
Verify the app: developer, icon, and app ID
Check all three details together. The name helps you find the app, the developer identifies its publisher, and the app ID confirms the App Store listing. The icon is an additional clue, not proof on its own. Compare it with the official icon shown on this site, then verify the listing details on the product page.
App identity
- App name
- Shadowrocket
- Developer
- Shadow Launch Technology Limited
- App ID
932747118- Official icon
Check each detail; a similar name or icon is not a substitute for verifying the full listing.
Purchase details
- Where to get it
- App Store
- Purchase type
- One-time purchase
- Price
- The price shown on the current storefront and in the system confirmation prompt
- Device requirements
- Check the App Store listing
Check the price and account before paying. Use the current product page to confirm compatibility.
When you open the product page from the download guide, the link is https://apps.apple.com/us/app/shadowrocket/id932747118. Here, us is the storefront path in the URL; it does not guarantee account eligibility or purchase availability. Once the link opens on your device, follow the App Store page and account prompts you actually see.
- Developer name doesn’t match: stop and return to the download guide to reopen the specified product page.
- App ID doesn’t match: this is a different App Store listing. Don’t proceed with payment based on the name alone.
- The page says your device is incompatible: check the compatibility section. Repeatedly tapping the purchase button won’t resolve it.
Redownload a previous purchase: check your purchase account, then download again
Here, “restore” means redownloading an app you already purchased from the App Store, not restoring a service plan through a provider. Deleting the app, switching devices, and keeping a purchase record are separate matters. Don’t assume the app’s configuration will be restored automatically after reinstalling; check your existing subscriptions and configurations separately.
On your device, open Settings → your name → Media & Purchases and check which account is used for App Store purchases. It may differ from the account you use for iCloud. Then go to App Store → your account photo → Apps. Some system versions label this section Purchased. If you see My Apps, open your app list and search for Shadowrocket.
Choose your path: first purchase or redownload
First purchase
- Verify the developer, icon, and app ID first.
- Check the price and compatibility, and confirm the account you’re using to buy.
- Review the system payment prompt, then authenticate.
- Keep your purchase record after installation for future reference.
Already purchased
- Make sure Media & Purchases is signed in to the original purchase account.
- Search for Shadowrocket under Apps or Purchased.
- When you find the purchase, tap the cloud icon to download it again.
- If you still see a price, check the account and purchase history first.
A purchase record confirms your app entitlement; it doesn’t replace a configuration backup or your provider’s subscription record.
To use Shadowrocket on an iPad, check the original purchase account’s previous purchases before paying again just because you’re using a new device. Check the App Store listing for cross-device purchase eligibility. If the app is hidden, it may not appear in your regular app list; check Hidden Purchases in your App Store account settings.
Purchase or installation issues: troubleshoot by symptom
Identify whether the issue occurs during search, payment, download, or launch. Start with the prompt for the stage you’re stuck at. Changing server settings won’t help before installation finishes, and a connection issue after launch doesn’t mean the purchase failed.
Can’t find Shadowrocket in the App Store?
First, check that you entered the full English name, then use this site’s download guide to open the specified product page. Check availability in your current storefront and the device compatibility notice. If you see a content restriction message, check Settings → Screen Time → Content & Privacy Restrictions for restrictions on App Store purchases.
Why does the App Store show a price if I already bought it?
Don’t confirm another payment yet. Check the account under Settings → your name → Media & Purchases, then look for your purchase in App Store → your account photo → Apps or Purchased. To check the order, open Purchase History in your account settings.
The purchase prompt says payment failed. What should I check?
Note the system message, then check your payment details under Settings → your name → Payment & Shipping and see whether your account has any pending billing requirements. Use the App Store record to confirm whether payment went through; don’t repeatedly submit the same payment.
The download is stuck on Waiting. Do I need to buy it again?
You don’t need to make another purchase to fix a stalled download. Check your internet connection, then go to Settings → General → iPhone Storage (or iPad Storage on iPad). If space is low, free up storage. When your connection is available, return to the App Store and check the download progress.
The button says Open, but I can’t find the app icon. What now?
Tap Open in the App Store to check whether the app launches, then use your device’s system search to find Shadowrocket. On iPhone, you can also check the App Library. The app can be installed even if its icon isn’t on the Home Screen, so there’s no need to pay again.
After installation: distinguish access, configuration, and connection
If Shadowrocket opens from the App Store, installation is complete; that doesn’t mean you have everything needed to connect. Home shows servers and connection status, Config manages configuration files, and Settings contains app preferences. Have your own connection details ready, then follow the quick-start guide.
- Get your details: Get your subscription from your provider. Links may contain access credentials, so don’t include the full link in public screenshots, comments, or support requests.
- Import your subscription: In Home, tap “+” in the upper-right corner, set Type to Subscribe, enter your own subscription link, and save. Then check that the expected entries appear in the server list.
- Approve the request: When the app asks to add a VPN configuration, read the system prompt before allowing it. This permission is needed to establish a connection; it is not an App Store payment step.
- Test the connection: Select a default server, turn on the connection switch, then run Connectivity Test. If the connection fails, check the service status and settings; don’t buy the app again.
If you’re reinstalling, also check which configuration is active in Config and the Global Routing setting in Home. Don’t assume settings from your old device have transferred automatically. Test a manual connection first, then consider configuring On Demand under Settings. This makes it easier to tell a basic connection issue from an automatic connection condition.
